I normally don’t do two photo blogs back to back but this one creeped me the hell out when I first saw it… The following is from the photo submission…
“I live in Ravenna Ohio. In May of 2008, my son took a picture of our house with a digital camera. It was in the afternoon and he was not looking for ghosts. Upon looking at the picture on the computer, there is an image of what appears to be a child looking out of the window. I was the only person in the house. We were astonished by this image to say the least. We have lived in this house for about fifteen years and it is a former parsonage. We have experienced strange activity in the house as well as the former owner. A paranormal research team asked to come last June to do an investigation. They did pick up an EVP, and sent the photograph to Kodak lab. Kodak told them that the photo was genuine and untouched. Could you please take a look at this photo?

As I always say still digital photography is not a good standard for paranormal investigation. The obvious reason is Photoshop and the advent of many apps that can emulate paranormal phenomena but also because of just standard normal everyday events… After further review of the images here is my opinion…
The true creepiness of this image could be a combination of some object behind the window and a JPEG compression artifact, of a reflection of somebody walking past the window… If you take a good the “face” looks flat, two dimensional. Not like something with depth and definition. For the hardcore believers I’m chalking this one up for pareidolia. If you zoom in on the “ghost”, the face appears to be contorted, the proportions aren’t right and the face is in front of the curtain while the body is behind it, and there is no disturbance to the curtain. I doubt it’s a reflection as other images would show up, I’m guessing a combination of the lighting, objects on the window sill and the possibility of a dirty glass. Many want say that it is a worker in a blue collared shirt doing their job. I think it’s a bag on the window sill. That still does not explain something else though… What about the white devil looking mist behind and to the left of the face?
